Guild is Back
I have a Guild F1512 12 string, which I thought might have been the last decent guitar Guild had made until now. I got to audition this in the Sweetwater store against Martin, Taylor, Gibson (I have one or more of all of those), and the others sounded anemic by comparison. This guitar has perfect balance, projection and tone. You don't get the percussive sounds you get from the… read more Gibson SJ's and while it's neck reminds you of Taylor, the sound is much fuller. Martin also came in sounding weak. This guitar can sound subtle or strong. To my ears it's the perfect guitar for a singer-songwriter with a strong voice that needs a guitar that can keep up, and it's a smoother sounding and playing guitar than the SJ100 & 200.
Well Worth The Wait!

From its depth and breadth of sound, to its rich tones, to its dynamic range in volume and projection, to its stunning aesthetics, Guild has outdone themselves. I had to wait 3 months from the time I ordered it until delivery, but it is so worth it, especially since I pretty much received it direct from the factory. I look forward to many years with this work of art! Thank You Guild, and Thank You Wayne Wildman and everyone at Sweetwater!
Thank you, Guild!!
I've only had this guitar for a little over a week, but very time I pick it up, I fall in love all over again. The hard part is putting it down. It plays so easily; great action, warm tone, and room-filling projection. It sounds even better than it looks, and every detail shows master craftsmanship. Just a beautiful guitar! Hats off to Guild! And thanks to Mike Arango/SE for… read more a fantastic customer experience!
