WOW - Very Nice Guitar
First - Sweetwater Staff and overall approach to service should be a model for others that want to get to the top of their game. Great advise on this model .The guitar arrived in perfect condition, tuned, and best I can tell flawless fit and finish. Very hard to put down, easy to play and when you plug it in quite a nice range of tones from bright to dark. I wanted a 12 string… read more that I could leave in standard tuning and not worry about the neck and also still have playability. I was concerned about adding a Korean guitar to my stable, but the price of a like model US is at least double. Again I am impressed with the fit and finish, it really is a beautiful guitar and plays like a dream. Intonation is spot on, tuning pegs very smooth, neck is fast and easy to play. I normally have the action on my guitars set very low, this one is good out of the box. Again - Great Guitar for the price point, and as always fantastic service from the folks at Sweetwater

Sadly in my opinion if you watch the demo of this guitar at this site or Guilds own site you won't get a very good perspective of the instruments actual appearance or capabilities. The color "Shoreline Mist" is really a multicolor, meaning in different lights it appears as a different color. In a setting where there's a lot of shadows or low lighting it looks grey almost smoky,… read more in a well lit room it becomes a very shiney light green similar to "Coke Bottle Sea Glass", when the room light alternates the guitar takes on a multitude of colors between the two mentioned. Absolutely Beautiful! The musician in the demo starts out well picking on strings that accentuates the clear crisp jangle of the 12 string configuration. Unfortunately he stops way too soon to switch to a finger strum jazzy / blues riff that only blurs the sound making the 12 strings indistinguishable. I did some Byrds intros followed by picking individual string pairs, early Rolling Stones tunes, and Christian songs we play at our church and was blown away by the choir of voices the ST 12 produced. Each pluck of the string pairs reverberated through the back of the guitar making my breast bone and upper rib cage a tuning fork that penetrated through to my spine. I realize you don't know me but I promise you if you have any interest in a 12 string guitar (acoustic or electric) you are doing yourself a grave disservice if you don't try the Guild Starfire IV ST12. If you are really serious about purchasing a 12 string I am equally confident that like me you'll buy this one. Sweetwater has a really good try it out policy so you have nothing to loose except you heart to this truly unique music machine. So stop hemming and hawing make the call to Sweetwater and get your own ST 12 before someone gets it before you; unless you like being low person on the totem pole.
