Very good amp for the price. Got it for my son to go with his Ibanez Mikro, but I find myself using it too. Get get loud, but wouldn't suggest gigging with it

The Packaging was just the Beginning...

It was 10:30pm. The rain was coming down in sheets -- typical Florida -- when I suddenly remembered that my Behringer practice amp was due to arrive that day. I checked tracking and discovered it had already been placed at my door. "Oh no! A porch pirate's dream!"I flipped on the outside light and saw the wet box sitting on the table. Turns out, this was not a problem.Seeetwater read more had packaged my little amp so well that it was surrounded in bubblewrap and the inner box was completely dry.Not only that, but Behringer had the amp itself inside a sealed plastic bag. So I am VERY happy about the way my purchase was securely packaged. Now, for the 10w Behringer amp. I needed a small amp for my bedroom, since I have a sound-sensitive (crybaby) roommate down the hall. I was not happy with my Orange 20q=w at all, so I sold it and took a chance on the Behringer.I LOVE this little amp!It has a brilliant clean channel (pretty easy to do with most amps, I would assume) but the booster channel with some gain was equally as good! I mean, there was NO MUD at all, despite the tiny 6" round speaker. I ran my Gretsch hollow body, Strat and Epi Goldtop through it and they all sounded fantastic! I've finally found the perfect practice amp for me.I should also thank the Sweetwater people for the bag of candy I found inside. :-)I am 100% happy with the price, quality and sound of this purchase -- as well as the customer service that makes Sweetwater the BEST place to purchase any gear! They've called and emailed me to be certain I'm happy with my purchase. Who else does that???Thank you Sweetwater!Keith MacDonaldFlorida guitar hack trapped in pentatonic ****.

Not bad for a cheap practice amp.

One can't expect big sound and perfect tone from a small, cheap, 10 watt amp with a 6.5" speaker. As a practice amp (or a first amp for a new, young player) this one provides enough variety of tone, a decent overdrive sound, and a clear clean sound. The three-band EQ is very useful and the small speaker provides better low-end than I expected. The build isn't the greatest, but this read more is one you keep in the bedroom and don't move around much anyway. All-in-all, it's fine for practice and is well worth the money.
