Scary good

I use this pedal either before or after an overdrive/distortion pedal in front of the amp and it absolutely gives me the ability to dial in my tone for metal. It takes pedals that are almost great and gives them the slight shaping they need to be excellent. Your new secret weapon

Back in the 80's when I was gigging regularly I was using one of the first Rat Distortion pedals for my basic crunch tone. I used an Ibanez parametric EQ pedal in the pre-distortion position for solo boost and by boosting the mids before it hit the distortion pedal it made my guitar sing. ...I do I do I do... ala wizard of OZ... Spooktacular! Drop this in after any overdrive and you'll hear a dimension that you've been missing. It boosts your mids!

It does exactly what you want it to do and sounds great doing it. I can't speak to everyone's setup but mine simply put is a compressor, voyager, big muff pi Russia, then haunting mids run into the input plus multiple effects run through the fx loop on a Mesa stiletto ace. Fender strat and tele. This pedal sounds great, made very well!!
