Best Capo I Have Owned
I have accumulated a lot of different capos over decades of playing. This one is clearly the best. I don't like to see capos stuck on the end of the headstock, although some players seem to treat this as some kind of badge of honor. But it is handy to have a capo parked on the guitar, not in a pocket or elsewhere to be searched for when needed. Lastly, I like to be able to do a… read more fine adjustment on the tension, applying just enough force to assure clean contact between strings and frets without forcing strings out of tune. The G7th Heritage capos do all of those things and do them well. It takes one extra second to move it out of the way (loosen the screw, move it over the nut to the headstock, then SLIGHTLY retighten the screw. But it's quick and easy, and dare I say even attractive when it is parked up at the headstock. Moving it back in place over the strings is equally fast, and one quickly learns the feel of the screw being tightened "just enough." The G7th 12-string capo is also a clear winner and works perfectly on my Guild F212-XL. This is expensive, but worth it. The last full-width capo I will ever need (that just leaves a few partial capos in my bag of tricks now).
Quite a beautifully crafted Capo
I've used Capos since the 70's when they were the type with an elastic band you tightened around the back of the neck to hold the Capo in place. From there I used other styles from the spring loaded side clamp designs to the G7 side pressure clamping quick release design (which is a very good Capo). But either gigging or in the studio I always seemed to have slight tuning issues… read more on my Electric & Acoustic guitars using those Capos. Then I decided to try the G7 Heritage and I just was blown away by the craftsmanship, quality and how all my guitars stay in perfect tune all across and up and down the fretboard. Yes, they are very expensive compared to other styles, but the Heritage is a noticeably better Capo and it's extremely easy to use. It comes in a real nice case with cleaning cloth. It's simply a great investment if sounding your best when using a Capo is a priority.
No more buzz
I was having difficulty finding a capo the would work on the 7th fret without causing any buzz on my Martin's and specifically my Huss & Dalton. This works perfectly. I'm very happy with this capo and would highly recommend it.
Capo litness
Sweet water sent me candy with it how sweet very impressed with their customer service
Yep. It's nice!
Leagues better than my cheapo capo. Very little pitch change when applied. Yoke style is a little wonky, but the design lends to it's superior functionality. String pad is supple, I'm now a believer in the A.R.T. Polished stainless steel finish is gorgeous, looks like jewelry for your guitar. Includes nice leather case with pocket for picks and polishing cloth. Glad I made the $tretch.… read more No regrets. I'm so pleased with the quality of G7th, I plan to order a Newport and/or Nashville for on-the-fly capo needs or practice. Thanks G7th for your wonderful products and thanks to Gage at Sweetwater for making sure I was a satisfied customer.
