These definitely have the punch I was looking for, without the hum. Another review said that you lose a bit of the classic 'fenderness' with these pickups, and I have to say, they were right. The neck pickup does still give you that famous fender sound, but it's a little bit watered down imo. In retrospect, I probably would have preferred the Tex mex or texas special for that… read more famous neck pu sound. But overall, these are quite good - definitely hotter than what I had before, which was my goal.
