Nice
Chimey cleans, well balanced volume control and very responsive and excellent with my pedal board. The OD channels and voicings are ok, better than on my HR Deluxe, but will rarely get used by me. The real drawback for me personally is the reverb, and further the switch for the two reverbs being installed on the back of the amp. If this unit contained a real reverb tank, it would… read more be unparalleled for the price point. All in all, very well made amp with lots of versatility. If you want the cleanest of cleans, this is your amp. I can't stress enough how well it responds to a pedal board. And unlike comparable models, it doesn't melt your ear drums at 2 or higher on either the 40 or 4 watt selection. Well worth the money.
Great do-it-all amp
If you are like me, playing anything from Brad Paisley-type country stuff to 80s metal, and don't want to mess around with a bunch of pedals, bright switches, speakers changes, etc. in an effort to get a good sound, I don't think there is a better amp for you than this one (for the money). You get great cleans and great distortion in one package. Spend more time playing and less… read more fussing with gear. PS - The clean channel takes pedals very well - better than the Hot Rod Deluxe I returned after getting this amp.
HT Club 40 6L6
Definite upgrade from my Solid State modeling amps (Spider V240, Katana Artist 100). Clarity, tone definition, & "bite" is outstanding. The differences (positive) were way more then I expected, reminds me a little of my old playing buddy's Original Fender twin reverb. I Like it! Props to Jordan for his knowledge & assistance...He's the best.
