This amp sounds pretty good. I like the connectivity options it has, while still being tube. Seems to be the cheapest option I could find - not to say any less to the overall sound. This is a strong amp. Its good.

Good advice from my Sweetwater Sales Engineer

Kenny Stratton, you're my hero! I originally was looking at five different combo amps to go with my new Fender American Ultra Telecaster (also from Sweetwater and also AWESOME). Through research and online reviews, I narrowed my list down to three. I spoke with Kenny, and we talked about what I wanted and what my experience was. He pointed me in the direction of this Blackstar read more HT Stage 60 Mark II 2x12". I saw Sweetwater had a demo model and asked about its condition. I was assured by Kenny that it was nearly perfect, so I bought it. He's right. It arrived looking and feeling brand new. I plugged in my Tele and went to work, and MAGIC ensued. I can't believe all the different tones I can get from this amp! The clean American sound, the clean UK sound, all of the overdrive options, reverb switchable between plate and room, and more! I'm so happy!

Best amp I've ever owned.

I've had this for about 2 years now and it is amazing on multiple levels. First of all, I've owned a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL-100 for years, and loved it, but it always needed a modern pedal in the mix to make it sound like anything but zeppelin or ac/dc tones. With blackstar, the intention was to have that marshall quality and sound but to modernize it, and make it better. You should read more definitely believe the hype lol because this thing surpassed all my expectations. The quality and tones are amazing, top notch tube quality. But the variety in tones is amazing, it has perfect jimmy page and hendrix tones on tap on the od 1 channel, and the od 2 channel is a completely differnt modern distortion that sounds amazing for the likes of Tool, meshuggah, etc...it has a great effects loop, and direct out recording with xlr, and light and dark in amp reverb that sounds good, the 6 watt setting is amazing for home practice and at 60 watts shakes the walls at a quarter volume. It's a beast.

So amazing!

This is my first tube amp I've personally owned. Moved up over.the years from modelers like Line6 and Hotone/Ampero with FRFR speakers and solid state amps to this beast... wow... what a night and day difference in tone and pick attack dynamics. This is the holy grail of tone on multiple levels. With the Infinite Shape tone knob I can go from Fender'ish scooped to Voxy mid dominant read more tones on clean or a blend between to find a nice spot for my Gretsch to land at. I can get a bluesy up to Marshall/Slash sound with OD1 gain.. I can go full blast OD2 stage 2 high gain if needed and chug away... im dying to try this out with active pickups on high gain. I don't even feel the need to try any OD or Distortion pedals its that tight on sound. And this thing gets LOUD if you pushing it full out on 60 watts... I literally can't even dial it to ten... its that loud... louder than a full blast AC30. Love the 60 to 6 watt throttle for practice. I have been converted to Blackstar by this quality 2x12 amp.

Just like I remember.

This was my son's request for Christmas. He has spent a lot of time 'visiting' local music outlets to play their instruments on display, checking out which guitars and amplifiers he likes. His remark when he started playing: "Just like I remember". He is very pleased. Sweetwater was very fast with their order and delivery. The amplifier was packed very well for shipment. Thanks read more Sweetwater.
