Single Coils, P90s, Humbuckers… Doesn’t matter, BUY THIS!

For decades guitarists have been fighting with EMI and amp noise, for decades guitarists have been trying to find noise suppressors and gates that didn't eat the end of sustained notes. 60hz hum, 50hz hum, bad lighting, bad wiring, your guitar isn't shielded? This thing doesn't care. I cannot believe how quiet my rig is with every single guitar in my collection. No hum, no gain read more hiss. I can't tell a difference at all in my tone with it on and whatever magical algorithm they've come up with leaves even my long sustained notes with the volume and tone rolled off completely intact. This is worth every single penny and I would recommend it to any guitarist.

Really Impressed!

There were NONE of the other noise gates and hum eliminators that satisfied me. But this one really impressed me. ISP really did an excellent job on this one. I will be honest, I thought it was too expensive until I actually used it. Now I totally feel it was worth it, because it surpassed my high and critical expectations.

Solved signal interference from power lines

I moved to my new house 2 months ago - since then I've had a very bad hum/buzzing on my amps. After spending several hundred dollars on filters, conditioners, and electricians..what ended up causing it was in front of me the whole time (literally). I have a Power Line tower about 40 feet from my house...when I go outside I can audibly hear the power lines humming. My amps are read more picking this up and there's not much I can do about it from an electrical standpoint. It's manageable with humbuckers, but single coils are pretty much unplayable. Enter the ISP Hum Extractor + Decimator. While a pedal isn't the ideal solution, I am beyond impressed at what this does. I'd say it knocks out about 95% of any noise, and I only hear a faint buzzing when I actually strum the guitar. This is a complete life saver in an otherwise horrible situation.

Beautifully solved my noise issue; this is some serious black magic!

I moved to a new home and quickly realized that I was having some SEVERE noise issues unlike anything I've ever experienced before. More specifically, in addition to standard 60Hz noise, I'm getting 180Hz noise, and a TON of 540Hz noise. I eventually caught wind of this product and decided to reach out to Buck from ISP to see if this could possibly help me. Buck was incredibly helpful read more and seemed confident that this product would help, since it it designed to filter out 60Hz noise, as well as noise caused from its higher order harmonics (180Hz, 540Hz, etc.). I decided to try it out and got in touch with my awesome Sweetwater Rep (shoutout to Spencer Pyles!) and patiently waited for the unit to arrive. I am writing this review about an hour after initial testing (Buck was also kind enough to walk me through the setup). Once everything was ready to go, I was absolutely shocked to see that this pedal really did help solve my severe noise issue! It's a two stage process: first a filter deigned to selectively filter out the 60Hz/harmonic noise and leave your guitar signal intact (the Hum Extractor side of the pedal), and then a powerful noise gate to mop up any other gain-related noise. This one-two punch basically eliminated the noise from my rig, and I will readily admit that I was skeptical whether it would work. If you don't believe me, check out the quick video I made (see included link). Even in the worst case scenario for noise (super high gain with single coils), this pedal just eliminates it. I have yet to test it with pedals, but I'm confident it will work perfectly. I believe this pedal has single handedly prevented me from going insane, haha.
