Great Electric Twelve String

Had been looking at electric twelve strings for a while. Had played some, but had not been too impressed. Saw the Ibanez Artcore and, based on the reviews, decided to take the plunge. Really glad I did. Always loved the sound of Rickenbackers, but not willing to pay that kind of money. Got this one at my house and was way happy. First of all, it was impeccably packed. Then,… read more out of the box, I was amazed at the fact that the setup was spot on. It was even tuned! Best of all was when I plugged it in to my Fender Blues Deluxe with extra speaker cab. First thing I played was the opening to Mr. Tambourine Man and was amazed at the Rickenbacker tone that came out. If you are looking for an electric twelve string, look no further. The Ibanez Artcore is a beautiful, impeccably built beauty. Thanks to Sweetwater and its staff. I'll be working with you again in the future.

I've been a player for close to 60 years. Primarily a fingerstyle acoustic player, but also tear into electrics.My focus has been with 12 strings, and always wanted an electric. Most are very expensive, at least those that are worthy of your investment. I have always found the Ibanez line to provide great value and well made instruments. Sometimes fretting when I spy something in… read more their line priced too good to be true. I have never been disappointed. Enter this electric 12 and I don't know how they do it.It sings. Intonation is spot on out of the box. Maybe it's the way they chambered the body, the center plank, those great pick ups; but playing clean, flat EQ and no effects and the clarity/chime and sustain that goes on forever with that magical undertone that 12's offer is a dream for a 12 string player....I feel like I just stole something...

What a tremendous guitar! Plays fabulously right out of the box! I suspect the 55 point set up/inspection might have something to do with that. Hard to purchase a guitar online. An expensive one who's appointments are something that one's already familiar with is something one would expect to like sight unseen, but less expensive guitars... that's more of a gamble. For such an inexpensive price, and sight unseen, the Ibanez Artcore AS7312 has impressed me very much. Beautiful wood grain showing through. The online pics… read more don't do it justice. Seems to be very well crafted. Very smooth and easy to play. Very nice tone. Only had if for a couple days so far but wow. I really dig this guitar.
