BLUE BELLE ROCKS!
Ibanez makes some good guitars and some bad. Once tried an Artist series reissue that was so neck fat and heavy it was strange. However ,I found I liked the Super 58 neck pickup, so they where on my radar. Ibanez also makes some Fantastic guitars! This, is one of them. Easy setup, nice action, Great Pickups. Also, I took some 400 and then 1000 grit sand paper to the back of the… read more neck to make it silkier feeling. Love the Super 58s! Great Jazz tone. Great rock tone. Probably not Pat Metheny's version of pups in this Indonesian guitar, but wonderful. This time I am also loving the bridge pup. Maybe, the lack of the tritone electronics have benefited the bridge pup or maybe it just likes to be in this guitar? Anyway, I have about 30 guitars and the Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster has been my number one and I think it will continue being my favorite because when I pick up that particular Jazzmaster I feel very connected to the way it helps me get my personality into playing. That being said, this Ibanez AM93QM is such a wonderful guitar I have Actually named Her Blue Belle. Now I have to resist the call of the vintage golden burst model! Thanks Justin and Sweetwater. WM
Perfect Addition
First of all my Sweetwater rep Colton is without question, excellent. I have lots of solid body electrics and plenty of acoustic electric guitars. Many moons ago I had a Gibson 335 (when they were affordable) and I wanted to add a semi-hollow body for playing jazzier material. I loved the look of this guitar for years but was considering another PRS (a brand I adore). But I decided… read more to go this route because I liked the look. Since getting it a week ago it has been in my hands whenever I have some time...I am very pleased with this guitar. It gives me tones and a playing experience unlike a solid body or acoustic. The finish is immaculate with details you'd expect in a much more expensive guitar...and everyone who sees it is wowed. I had Sweetwater change out the tuners and nut. I suspected that those parts might be the weak link but the quality overall would have been fine stock. The pick-ups have a round flavor to them which is what I want from this type of guitar. I buy a lot of music gear, recording, instruments and computers and I always turn to Sweetwater...always!
Great guitar!
I'm a full time gigging musician from South Florida. I've never owned a semi-hollow guitar, and lately I've been expanding my guitar repertoire. I have an SG and a Strat and I also had a Les Paul for a awhile. First off, this guitar looks amazing. the blue QM top finish is so gorgeous, and it plays really great. The stock pick ups aren't too bad either. I'm gonna upgrade them someday… read more but for now they do just fine. The guitar arrived perfectly set up, and as always the customer service was superb. Thanks to Derek Senestraro for taking care of my music needs for over 10 years now! From Blues to Rock, to even using a Fuzz Pedal to really get loud, this guitar is actually vey versatile. and I love the access to the higher frets, unlike the Gibsons and other semi-hollow guitars. I believed these are bound further up on the frets compared to the Gibson models and other similar ones.
Jet Blue
Like Steve, I too am from Michigan. What a nice feel to this guitar. I have a 1968 ES 335 and it does not feel this good. The ebony fretboard is great. The color grows on you. Had mine for about 2 months now. Playing thru a Fender Vibrolux. Great jazz and blues sounds.
Smooth Sweet Sounds
I was actually waiting for this exact color.. Gorgeous !! But as I was looking for a smooth playing Jazz/Semi Hollowbody I saw this Beauty and having never played one, hoped it would play half as good as it looked. Well, I couldn't be more happy with the sound, fit and finish. This guitar plays like a dream and does everything from George Benson to Larry Carlton. I can go on and… read more on, bottom line is I love it!! Thanks to my sales engineer James Masterson for being my hands and eyes on this perfect decision as well as his personal attention to taking care of all the details. Call James today and get one of these... You'll be as amazed as me.
