Really Impressed!!
It's beautiful Pearl White, feels great and tone is Rich... I do have a question the 9Volt battery compartment, Does it have a battery included when it's new? It's the weekend and of course they are closed... My luck...lol. Would recommend...
Impressed
I have had this about 4 weeks. I really didn't expect much at this price point. I play keyboards and I thought I would learn base to help fill out my recordings. I started learning on a thunderbird. Which has a whole lot of neck dive and it weighs as much as a small car. When I finally received the Ibanez I was impressed with the overall fit and finish. Lightweight and playable… read more right out of the box. It plays so easy I can hardly put it down. So if you are fence sitting just order it.
Ibanez bass
This is the 3rd gsr200 I've bought. The 1st was donated to Ocean Christian Community in Toms River; the 2and is in W. Orange ,both transparent red 3rd with me in Boynton Beach Florida. I primarily play guitar..acoustic, electric lead and rhythm. The necks of the GSR200s are great for me Tho I have large hands the necks feel like guitar necks and accommodate my playing style perfectly.… read more I don't do slaps on bass but do use 3rds over roots for harmonics in songs. There was a buzz like a ground loop noise in the 2and bass when turning the bridge pickup up in volume, not noticed in this 3rd instrument. Love the active bass boost, great for recording as well as live. Direct plugging into worship use called for lifting of a setting on the direct box itself to avoid over driving the mixing board. My recommendation? Love this product, very affordable, very versatile in all applications, yes, buy one, You won't be sorry. Oh yeah, it doesn't weigh a ton n a half, either, lol.
New bass
Received the pearl white bass today. The action is a little high for me and will be putting GHS BOOMERS on it. Neck is smooth and feels good, body is light and comfortable. I can definitely tell the weight difference from my fender p-bass and the Ibanez. Easier on the back and shoulder. This bass is good for all levels of play and I'm looking at purchasing another.
Best feel, sound, and eight
I've played bass for at least 5 decades. Playing up to 6-7 nights regularly for many years has taken a toll on my frame. No one is perfectly straight but my left shoulder is noticeably lower than the right and I here chronic back problems. So, I need as light an instrument as possible. The Gio bass from Ibanez is just the ticket. It is very light, very comfortable for the hand,… read more and sounds great being played through an isolated amp or the PA. I recommend this bass to players of all levels. The transition from my Fender Precision to the Gio was seamless.
