Fantastic value and Hot pickups
The value for the money on this thing is incredible. I've owned fancier basses from American Fenders and Gibsons to German Warwick and Japanese Ibanez. This bass has only a few very minor cosmetic flaws, fantastic overall construction, great fretwork, and sounds killer. The pickups are hot and really drive my amp. I like adding some compression and gain and making this thing a… read more midrange growl machine. The neck is fatter than a soundgear, and nut width and thickness sitting right between a jazz and p-bass. It's very comfortable, and still easy to play fast. It sounds great for metal and rock, looks the part too. The hardware all feels quality, and the bass and a whole feels more expensive than it is. I play this more than any of my expensive high end basses now. My only gripe is the nut was sharp. Some 600 grit sand paper and 5 minutes fixed that. Also the jazz pickup is not noise cancelling, and can be pretty noisy. It sounds great to me though. I may replace the j pickup with something quieter for recording at some point.
