Jackson quality is back, hopefully to stay.
The guitar looks amazing first off. Also it has a painted, glossy neck which I always prefer. My hand sticks to unfinished necks for some reason, lol. The pick ups sound great. The push/pull tone pot is a bit weird in that you have to pull it to adjust the tone. I'd prefer a coil split function on the pull part since the tone knob is out of the way so you probably won't be accidentally… read more adjusting it. I love that the volume and tone knobs are recessed. That way you don't accidentally turn down the volume while playing, plus the volume is moved back too. My vintage Jacksons, the volume is directly under the treble humbucker. Overall it's way better than my first Jackson 7 string, which the pick ups had to be replaced immediately with Jeff Loomis black outs.
