I've had 20 amps
I've had this since it came out, sounds perfect, low volume, band volume, perfect size, zero interest in swapping amps anymore, this is absolutely perfect. Like many the JJ100 was my favorite amp but no use for the size and power, this is the perfect solution.
The perfect tone
I love the sound of this amp. The dirty channel is superb. With an ibanez prestige with fishman fluence pickups it sounds amazing I prefer the be channel over the jbe possibly because the fishman pickups are so hot. Great amplifier
A dream come true
I had wanted a JJ 100 for several years but 2 things held me back, cost and loudness. I mainly record at home and rarely gig. When I found out a 20 watt combo version of the JJ 100 had been released, I immediately had to have it. They were out of stock at the time but I was able to get it within a month. The wait was well worth it. When I plugged in for the first time, I instantly… read more got the most articulate high gain I had ever played through. It's hard to put your guitar down when it sounds so good through this amp. Probably the best thing about it is being able to play it at very low volumes at night and without disturbing neighbors. You could honestly have this in an apartment and turn it down low enough that only you would hear it and still have nice high gain tone. I would recommend this amp to anyone who likes hard rock/metal. It is truly amazing.
Great tone
The jj junior is a great sounding amp. The best thing about it is the ability to find your own tone. This involves some tweaking but most tone chasers like myself will enjoy this. Excellent amp. Thanks Mr. Friedman. And a sincere thank you to Mr Todd Cotten for his outstanding customer service and support. Great amp from two outstanding companies.
Sonic Titan
Dave Friedman is one of those rare engineers -- Rupert Neve comes to mind, also the guys who made the original Pultec EQ -- who has the ability to "hear" beautiful harmonics and translate those into an actual salable product. This is my second Friedman amp, and it's the best single amplifier I've ever owned (have been playing thirty-plus years, mainly Orange and Vox). The tones… read more from this beast are unbelievable -- it does both dark/heavy and Voxlike brilliance equally well. It just makes me want to play. The FX loop is brilliant; it takes pedals and stomp boxes extremely well, but honestly, I like the tones from the Friedman so much that I don't really use them. The amp is incredibly responsive to your guitar's controls, and the EQ section is incredible. Friedmans are well worth the premium price. I'll never play another brand.
