This little Ukulele takes me back to the sounds of Don Ho where I first heard the instrument. It is a tiny little thing. But, it has a very warm tone and is a lot of fun to play. It also stretches my brain as a guitarist. The tuning is very different including having a High "G" on the top of the string order. It does hold the tune well. I was initially concerned with the tuning… read more as the tuning heads did have a little trouble getting the pitch up to altitude. I thought something was going to break from all the cranking noises. But, it got up there and has sustained tuning very well. It requires the regular maintenance tuning like any other stringed instrument. I would rank the quality as a good student model. Accompanied with the case and tuner, it makes for a nice starter package for a young aspiring string instrument player.

We bought this Uke for our Grandaughter as a beginner. She is eight years old and wanted to learn to play. I had never played Uke before but have been a guitar player for many years this girl has learned to simple chord very fast and I would call this Uke a very good starter. I liked the Uke so well that I bought a more expensive one to play around with myself. One thing I had some… read more trouble with was the tuner I could not get a reading on the C note no matter how I went at it I could not get the note to register. I brought in one of my guitar tuners and it was fine. One might think about a different tuner as this could be a problem for a beginner.
