Out of dozens of basses in this price range that I checked out my Skyline 44-01 is the best hands down. Build quality,feel, sound, look. I love this bass.

For the money, you are just NOT going to beat out this Lakland model. Very high precision for a model below 1k. Very true all the way up the neck for you players that like to explore the upper registers. Quite a variety of tones, very responsive to your touch. OH, BTW, the PERFECT case for the majority of Lakland models is Gator ATA Molded Guitar Case, GTSAGTRBASS here at SW. Fits… read more like a glove. That is, unless you want the Lakland case, but they don't get very many good reviews.

WOW! I can't believe we got a bass of this quality for this price! These are able to be put side by side with a F precision or a F jazz bass matter of fact with a little tweaking you can pull either sound the best part is it can also produce excellent harmonics and is great for slap but can easily move right back into a walk style the pick ups are outstanding.
