Best clean sound. Lightweight . Perfect for gigging
Bought this as a gift. Wanted something better made to last for years of use. This this is a simple design pedal platform amp. Has one of the best cleans sounds around. Build quality is top notch and couldn't be happier. It is very lightweight and somewhere between the size of a Deluxe reverb and a Princeton reverb size. I have lots of high end amps that I have purchased from Sweetwater.… read more This is another purchase I am completely satisfied with. Thanks to Tom my sales representative for always taking care of me.
Pedal Pusher
Love this amp. I play lead guitar for a rock and roll coverband @burningbridgeswy ;) I use pedals for my tone and I need a lot of different tones to be able to cover the wide variety of things we play. I bought this amp because it is a perfect pedal platform. All of the pedals I run through it sound amazing. I get compliments on my tone all the time. Mike Soper was awesome to work… read more with.
Great sounding clean amp
So this has one of the best sounding clean amp sounds ever, imo. It really is satisfying and harmonically rich. Won't naturally break up easily on its own but with a good transparent od or boost then you're good to go. I find that to be a very good thing. You have control of how much dirt you want. Want more, use a boost or overdrive to get there. It's a pedal platform, works… read more beautifully as intended. With that being said... Pedals sound great through this amp. Put all kinds of stuff through it from Strymon, Origin Effects, Meris, Chase Bliss and all sounded stellar. Even ran my Helix through it and was really happy with the sound after tweaking the eq a little. However, I did find it hard to hit acceptable metal territory (might need to plug into a different cab or just might not be the right amp for the job) but handles hard rock well. If you're looking for an fx loop then this amp won't be for you. But if you do front load then I couldn't recommend this amp more, sounds amazing.
Stunning clarity and definition.
Perhaps...perhaps the best clean amp I've ever played through after 30+ years of playing. The first words that come to mind are clarity and definition. A modern day Fender Blackface made with the best parts available and stunning attention to detail. It's loud and proud and certainly makes the perfect pedal platform. I've thrown all kinds of pedals at this and not one sounds bad.… read more I've never come across an amp like this yet. Pricey but worth it in my opinion.
Loud is More Good
This is just a stunning amp, beautifully made and sounds incredible: clarity, complex harmonics, interactive tone controls, all the headroom in the world and - unsurprisingly - a perfect pedal platform. I had high expectations but have been blown away, even to the point where I'm enjoying plugging straight in and playing clean with no reverb. JHS and Milkman combined perfectly.
