Great but misunderstood nut that I have on just about every Strat I own

Many many moons ago my wife bought me a '97 Big Apple Strat new for Christmas. While I loved every bit about how this guitar played and sounded (it's still my numero uno), I just could not get it to stay in tune regardless of whether or not I used the trem or not. On a whim I decided to make I decided to install this nut along with locking tuners ala the Strat Ultra (minus the Fender/Floyd read more bridge which was also another piece of engineering genius that shouldn't have gone away). So one at a time I installed first the LSR roller nut, and then locking Sperzels. The nut made a HUGE difference in tuning stability. I could pull off minor third bends again without the obligatory,"%&^* it! I am out of tune again!!!!", going through my head. Does it solve all of your problems? No. But along with a good set of locking tuners, you will have a guitar that will hang with a double locking setup as far as tuning stability without the headaches of a double locking setup. It is relatively easy to install. But if you are not experienced at both woodworking and instrument repair, you should have it done by a pro. I have never had it take more than about 30 minutes to one hour. And THAT'S being cautious to sneak up on every measurement given in the instructions. Of note: Ignore all of the internet hype about it destroying tone, etc., etc., etc. The difference in tone is negligible at best. In fact, blind folded, you probably wouldn't know the difference.

This excellent invention came factory installed on 2 of my older Strats; which is one of the main reasons I bought them.Combine them with locking tuners and you're 'in like flint'.

Saw this piece on sale and purchased it as a back up for the same roller nut on my Jeff Beck Stratocaster. Saw the price and couldn't go wrong!
