Firstly, shipping is much faster than I expected. I ordered it on Christmas morning for myself. A few days later, I received a text from Nate, a Sweetwater service representative, following up on my order and asking if I had any questions. He was very knowledgeable about the products and even followed up when I had a question after receiving it. The ukulele itself is gorgeous. It… read more keeps tuned pretty well after the first week of use. The strings aren't too bad on beginner fingers either. Thank you Sweetwater for your excellent product and even more for your excellent customer service. I am a music teacher and will be purchasing much more from Sweetwater for both my personal and school needs.
This is not an instrument.
Frets are wavy and gritty. Headstock not sanded - very rough ends. Black paint on the fretboard. Pits/holes in neck wood. Tuning keys are too tight and not smooth enough to tune the instrument properly. The side contours of the body are lumpy. The sound is flat. The projection is weak. The strings are junk - supposedly a name brand feature, though. This is not an instrument. It… read more isn't worth any amount of money.
