Great clarity without over doing it

These 12's 80/20 are very clear and last longer than the old Martin strings. Great for finger picking. Makes my Martin OMC-E 28 sound like a monster. When you flat pick it sounds louder than my D-18 with 13's, and that's saying a lot. If I record I usually use Di Addario 80/20 or Phos/bronze 12's though; but unplugged these are great !

I got a Guild F30R, but I would use these Martin Originals on my Guild dreads too... When I was a kid and first playing acoustic guitar, the guitar shop owner would give me Martin strings, just their bare bones 80/20 string set. Not even the Marquis with the wrapped ball ends, just the original Martin 80/20 Bronze strings. I played on these strings for years, then spent years and read more years trying out other strings, mostly D'Addario PB12s (EJ16), but really, like most of you, I have been all over the map with strings.... Well, as I only buy my strings from Sweetwater, I noticed they had these new Martin "Original" .12-.54 80/20 strings, and I knew these had to be the old Martin strings I played as a kid. And they are! Great feel, great tone and projection, and just so familiar to me. And at $5.49 with SW's ever free shipping and some candy for my kids, I plan on just buying these for a while...
