This a great string that allows the natural sound of the guitar to shine. It seems some strings tend to color/alter the natural sound of an acoustic. I've used similar brands that have extended life expectancy, but they weren't as transparent. I'm switching to this as my go to string.

This set of strings really opened up the natural tone of my Gibson Songwriter. I've used Elixir for years, but gave these a shot. I'm glad I did. If you haven't tried, invest in a set. You won't regret it. They seemed a little stiff until about 15 minutes play.I'm on my first set, purchased about 2 months ago, and they aren't even close to needing replaced.
