Great Tone
I like that the strings feel like traditional strings but last so much longer. The strings seem to settle into that tonal sweet spot sooner and last there longer. I use them on my Martin's, my Taylor and my Yamaha. Highly recommended.
Phil
Ive been a player for over 30 years. Seen alot of strings come and go. I never write reviews either. This time I thought others should know about Martin lifespan strings. I was Blown away by the tone and feel of them. Made my Hd28 pop. They Sparkle and Shimmer with tone. Not as much finger noise either. I Highly recommend these. Thank you Cf Martin.
Feel like standard strings but sound and last better
These were the factory stock strings on my Martin Road Series guitar. Nothing else I've tried delivered the full tonal spectrum of this string set. They feel like conventional strings but retain projection and balance a lot better. The Lifespan 2.0 are worth the extra money I found out the hard way via experimentation.
Awesome
Put these on my Martin and it just sings!
Great Strings
Martin really has done a much better job with their string manufacturing. Unlike the previous series they had going for years, these strings truly do last a long time and give my D28 great tone acoustically and amplified as well. I"m a working musician playing out every week, and I needed strings that would last through several shows before I changed them. These strings really deliver.… read more They don"t die out like some other coated strings and there is not flaking off of coating like you may find with other brands. Martin also decided to get rid of bronzing the treble strings with the new Authentic Acoustic series. The treble strings are steel and have (I believe) a tin or zinc alloy on them in addition to the coating. At any rate, the trebles have that silver shine we all know and ring out clear as a bell. Overall, I changed my string preference from D"Addario"s EXP line to these based on price and them simply out performing any other string brand I"ve used. For someone who makes part of their income based on performing year round, these are the best choice for my Martin. I use an LR Baggs M1a soundhole pickup running through a fishman loudbox performer as a live rig set up, and the strings really do sound great with the mag pickup. If you"re on the fence about these, you really should try them. You may need to adjust your guitars neck as the tension on these are a bit higher than other brands. Bonus of that is the extra tension really gets the guitars top going. See how it works for you!
