I read many reviews on the Martin D-35, but my Sales Engineer (Aaron Smith) sold me on my selection. Aaron went deeper than just the materials, the spruce top, rosewood back and sides. He explained how Martin was using lighter non-scalloped bracing for the top. This creates a louder, more resonant tone, and he was dead on. This sunburst D-35 is the best sounding Martin I have ever… read more played. Single notes are articulate and well-defined. Chords are clear and vibrant. The volume of this guitar is amazing. You will be heard whether playing solo or in an acoustic jam. The action and setup on this guitar are perfect. I have been dealing with Sweetwater since 2010 and their sales and service is second to none. If you have never purchased from Sweetwater, you should. Call Aaron Smith he is the best !

This is my second big purchase from sweetwater, I"m not sure if I"m more impressed with the guitar or the customer service from AlexRodriguez, he definitely knows his gear and will cheat you right!!I bought the D35 as a demo( if you are interested in a demo go for it) every little mark that is on a demo is pictured!! I saved almost $300 because of 2 very small dings on the back!!… read more I also had this guitar set up before it left( also recommended) this thing has the best action and playability that I"ve experienced in an acoustic guitar!! And the SOUND is will let"s just say it"s 100% a Martin, so happy with this purchase. I would say ROCK ON...... But......... BLUEGRASS ON!!!
