Martin OM-28E Review

Beautiful

I am very particular and did a LOT of research and study into tone woods, body size, feet lengths, bindings, pickups, bracing, the whole 9. Went to every guitar store in a 50 mile radius and played many many guitars, and could not shake the way the OM-28 felt, played, and sounded. Unfortunately(and actually fortunately) I wasn't able to purchase it at the time I played it, and had… read more to get money together. I got the money and every guitar shop was very very low on inventory due to manufacturing shut downs due to COVID, but sweetwater was able to get it the fastest and had the best reputation. I was extremely nervous to purchase a guitar I had never played, but it is absolutely flawless! It was everything I remembered and more. Sounds beautiful, plays smooth, and has a big personality. Sweetwater and Alex did a phenomenal job caring for, and checking the guitar when they received it, and got it to me quickly once Martin opened up manufacturing.

Perfection!

First of all, a big thank you to Ben Cameron for his patients with me, I'm not the easiest to deal with! The guitar is flawless, a true work of art. The fit and finish is stunning. The sound right out of the box is fantastic and can't wait to get her broken in.

Incredible!!!

This guitar is amazing and the LR Baggs makes it shine on a sound system and have had no problems with feedback even when pickup is turn all the way away from under saddle pickup. Was also very pleased at how much body this guitar has, was kind of concerned not getting a d-28, but this was the right one for me. Happy camper here!

Outstanding guitar

Purchased this guitar in May and is easily one of my favorites. Huge fan of the LR Baggs Anthem and Tom Maxwell was great in assisting me with this purchase. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another guitar from Sweetwater

Absolutely Stunning

I just received mine today. It's unbelievable! I was debating for so long about what guitar I wanted to grow old with. I debated between different sizes, but I kept gravitating towards this one. The beautiful rosewood back is phenomenal. The inlays and herringbone have that vintage classy look. It arrived safely thanks to the double-boxing from Sweetwater. Awesome guitar - Awesome customer service!

For such a small body guitar, it sounds amazing! It has a great bass response, the highs are bright. Just a great sounding guitar! Sweetwater's customer service and sales reps are just out of this world. They genuinely care and want you to be happy, no matter what it takes.

Martin OM28 lrbaggs

Received my guitar about 45 days ago. Michael from Sweetwater did every thing he could do to help me.Being a Martin man now for 30 years I only have one problem. Martin is now using select hardwood for the neck. All of my other high end Martins have a mohogany neck and I feel is very much missed on this... guitar. Sweet Guitar from Sweetwater

Instantly the best guitar in my arsenal. Love the new appointments with the reimagined makeover. Sounds fantastic straight out of the box, should be incredible in the years to come.
