MicroVent 122
This product is more than I expected. I have a Hammond B3 and Leslie 122. I use the Micro Vent with a Roland FR-8X accordion. The Roland has an organ sound module with settings that are programmable identical to the B3. I program the 8X with drawbar settings exactly the same that I use on my B3. I then play them side by side for a comparison. The Tremolo from the MicroVent… read more is an amazing duplicate of the Tremolo from the Leslie 122. In some ways, I like the Vent better--the ability to blend the "wet" and "dry" signals. Also, the ability, to control the sound, "doppler effect", that is produced when a mic is placed close to the Leslie and when it is far away. I personally like mic at maximum distance, since the "close" distance gives a lot more amplitude modulation and the "farthest" distance give the best frequency modulation. The frequency modulation is more representative of a true vibrato that occurs when a violinist does this by changing the string length rapidly with back and forth movements of his hand. John Mihevic
Not all that great
My best way to describe this is that it is 2 dimensional. I owned a mini vent 2, that was amazing. About two years later, it died. Out of warranty and too much $ to fix. I bought this to replace it. But it was very underwhelming. So, I sold it and found a Strymon Lex used in mint condition that was 150 less than this pedal.
Seems like the first version of this unit ...
... was more realistic, just from watching videos. And they really missed the boat, in not having a stereo option
Neo microvent
Easily the best sounding Leslie pedal I have heard. My only complaint is the input sensitivity. It clips easily. Then again I run my signal very hot so it might not be a problem for most. Pricey but worth every penny.
