Great MIDI foot controller
My first MIDI controller. The Mongoose 5-button controller was easy to set up and I was off and running. This was exactly what I was looking for to use with my Two-notes Captor X.
Great midi switcher
Great product. I like the easy bank switching to extend beyond 5 switches.
Connect to line6 M13
The midi Mongoose is a well-made product that makes switching scenes with the M13 an absolute Breeze! You don't have to be a midi genius to use this pedal. Very simple to connect and operate. Highly recommended for Line 6 M13, M9, and M5 users.
Almost perfect
I WAS very excited about this pedal. I bought it to replace my MIDI Mouse. The problem I have with the MIDI Mouse is that in order to skip patches, like go from a clean setting on patch 1, to a high gain setting on patch 4, I have to either sequentially step through each patch in between - not acceptable if you need instantaneous changes - or step on the "Active/Search" button and… read more scroll to the next setting beforehand and have it ready when I want to make my change - this simply doesn't work for me when I'm in the middle of a high energy performance. Enter the MIDI Mongoose: 5 buttons, straight across - I normally use a clean, crunch, high gain and a boosted gain for solos so this should have been perfect for me - I thought... The problem is, even with a size 10.5 shoe, which is not particularly large, by any means, I find myself inadvertently stepping on two buttons simultaneously and I end up in this hellish tailspin, trying to find the patch I wanted. It's even worse, in my case, than what I had to deal with with the MIDI Mouse. I can't be a slave to my MIDI pedal, having to look down at the thing for an extended time while I'm trying to deliver a great performance - I need to be able to stomp on it when I need my patch change. It seems as if nobody has been able to deliver in the compact MIDI controller category. Bummer - I now have too full-size MIDI controllers that are not ideal for smaller stages and three compact MIDI controllers that I had high hopes for but don't deliver in one way or the other.
Plain and simple midi channel switching
works great with the Line6 m5. Only thing I wish i could change is to make it roll back to 1 after patch 24, since the m5 only does 24 preset slots.
