Crystal clear sound

This device has transformed my pedalboard. My main signal chain ends in stereo, and I route a stereo loop to a delay that has its own input and output volume pedals. I feed the delay intermittently as I play, often spontaneously. Previously, I was sending L/R to a pair of splitters. One set of outputs went direct to a small mixer on my board. The other outputs went to the delay, read more then the mixer. The mixer's output went to my DAW. Now with the Parallel SW II the splitters are gone, the mixer is gone, and so are all their related audio and power cables. My board is half its previous size. And my tone comes through crystal clear.

The previous review covers this unit pretty well. This is for people who don't like compromises in signal quality and construction. Very clean and pure tone when looped back to itself with the return and send controls boosted for gain. As quiet as the best studio gear with tons of headroom. Will probably put a Grace Designs Bix in the input for boost before the send/return loop read more of the Lehle to get an even mix between dry and wet. The Grace stuff is one of the few product lines that share similar headroom/bandwidth/noise specs.

FInally! Stereo!

I used to be sceptical of line mixers, until I wisened up and realized I would not be able to use my Eventide H9 without one. The coloring of my guitar tone running through the H9 in my effects loop frustrated me to no end, to put it mildly. I almost sold the H9 - no analog dry thru meant the MicroPitch algorithm sounded awful. Then, I bought an old Lehle Parallel M line mixer. read more I hooked up my H9 to that device and was blown away by the improvement. Now THIS is what it's supposed to sound like! In short, the Lehle Parallel takes your dry signal coming from either an effects send or preamp out and gently mixes in the effect (wet) signal, without messing with the dry signal, the core sound of your amplifier that you have dialed in so carefully. The Lehle Parallel M blew me away, but I quickly realized that it was only......mono. I want to be able to run mono, stereo, wet/dry or wet/dry/wet whenever I please, without being limited by my board. I contacted Lehle, who duly informed me that the new Parallel SW II had just been released. Finallly, stereo capability in a compact, pedalboard-friendly line mixer. I called my new Sales Engineer, Ron Parker, who instantly created a pre-order, and called me as soon as the pedal arrived at SweetWater. The pedal arrived two days later. Impressions: Very high quality construction, quiet as a mouse, non-blinding LED, clever features. Well worth the money. This is professional gear. I will enjoy this for years to come. If you are serious about your tone, take a look at Lehle. I'm glad I did. The Little Lehle III true bypass looper is next!
