Suit my Martin 000-Jr just perfect

I read some complaints about these strings, which come stock on the Jr models, so I had them changed to phosphor bronze when I had the guitar set up. It sounded whiny and tinny until I switched back to these, even though I went to extra light. They're rich and easy playing and sound just right.

A great set of Nickel acoustic strings

I am more of an electric guitar player, but own a few acoustics and on occasion have the need to record acoustic tracks. I hate Bronze strings. They give me an odd feeling in my finger tips so I usually use electric strings in my acoustics. When I saw Martin had an affordable set of Nickel, I figured I would give them a shot. I am particular about the brand of strings I use on my read more electrics. I prefer Ernie Ball. These Martins have that same "slick" feel as the EB electric sets do. You can glide across the fretboard easily with no "stutter" or "grabbing". Tough to put into words so I hope my explanation makes some sort of sense and helps those who have the same type of issues with Bronze acoustic strings.

Excellent tone

Got my Martin D- Jr. Changed to my usual elixirs but sounded tinney and jangley - not in a good way. Switched back to the retro monels and yep, that is the sound you want. I'll experiment with retro's on my Taylors, but still will use the elixirs.
