To start I'll use the three words I feel best describe this particular pickup. Authority, clarity and dynamics. There's plenty of meat for loud, raucous tones, you'll hear every note (and mistake mind you) and you can play sweetly and cleanly by either turning down the volume knob or finger picking lightly. I've heard in a few places that folks thought this pickup is very bright,… read more and I can understand where they'd hear that in certain contexts. It has a great initial punch/attack and very good sustain. Single note lines have a great woody snap to them and pinch harmonics fly easily and are very controllable. If you're looking for a pickup that fits those three words at the top, check out the Mo Joe.
