PRS Multi-Fit guitar case
Awesome case. Fits my PRS S2 McCarty 594 like a glove. Perfect fit. Case is extremely well made, I believe, of wood with some sort of fabric covering with leather, or leather-like, ends. Very pleased
Does not fit prs ce 24 correctly.
Does not fit Paul Reed Smith CE 24 correctly. Neck is improperly angled and raised , so the neck does not have support. I'm sorry to have to return it.
Elegant protection
This case is so nice, I almost feel I need a case for my case! Fits my 594 10 top perfectly. Nice, roomy stash box w/leather straps.
Certified DOES NOT FIT for PRS SE Custom 24
I wrote this review for the black tolex version, but as this case has the same interior, the same issue applies: As other reviewers have noted, a PRS SE Custom 24 WILL NOT FIT in this case correctly: when the body of the guitar is seated properly within the molded foam, the neck does not align with the carved neck support - it's at least an inch off-center and so sits on the high… read more left side of the U-shaped foam cutout for the neck support. The guitar neck won't stay in the support unless you hold it in place, but doing so causes the body to lift off of the bottom of the molded foam, putting pressure on the guitar neck at the spot of the ill-fitting neck support. I had relied on Sweetwater's Certified Fit designation and felt sure this case would secure my 2018 PRS SE Custom 24 - I was shocked when it didn't. Before returning the case, I called PRS directly to assure myself this wasn't just a one-off quality control issue. The person I spoke with at PRS confirmed (through another employee) that they are aware that an SE Custom 24 doesn't fit properly in the multi-fit case - they described the exact issue without me having to fully explain it. The official PRS line is that while the case does fit multiple models, it was specifically designed around a Core. The person at PRS recommended that I stuff some microfiber cloth in the case to shore up the support, but this seemed extremely unsatisfactory to me...especially considering the price of the case (and the guitar it's meant to hold!). While this issue may not necessarily ruin your guitar, there's always a risk when you have gaps like this and then close the case and put pressure on the instrument. Your guitar should fit perfectly in a body-molded case like this, without the need for modification or rags to keep it in place...especially for this kind of money. If you have a PRS SE Custom 24, you would be wise to skip this case.
