Spring was way too tight

This is my 4th G7th Capo and their quality control has always been more than acceptable; however, for some reason the spring on this capo is way too tight or strong. Whatever the reason, it pressed my strings down so hard the they go out of tune. I have tried stretching it out, and after a few months it still has the same problem and is therefore unusable. It is too late to return… read more it so I am stuck with it after thinking it just needed some break in time. I still recommend this product but if it is wrong out of the box send it back asap.

Simple and effective. This capo is not expensive and functions well. I use this as a backup to my G7th G7 capo, which I like better, only for the fact that it is smaller and a little more precision-built and rugged.
