Best Amp ever!!!
I recently wrote a review of this amp,I have been enjoying it ever since. The amp opens up so many tones.and with four tube choices to work with.the possibilities are endless.I didn't want a modeling amp with a ton of effects I like using my own pedals this amp is perfect for that and having an effects loop let's me place my pedals were I want them, even when using my looper pedal.… read more All I can say is Boss hit a home run with this amp and I'll be enjoying it for a long time.
Nextone update
I gave a review of this amp and I really like it ,but now it's even better The Sweetwater tech,Logan Stefanich, help to set up the tone editor. It unlocked so many different settings and tones I know I'll be playing with this amp for a long time .it really brings out the 4 tube settings ,it's just an fantastic amp .thanks again Logan another reason I only buy my gear at Sweetwater.
Love this Amp!!!
I was looking for an amp that didn't have a bunch of effects I'm not going to use I want the amp as a pedal platform.I want to use my effects, and it also needed to have an effects loop. Having 4 valve settings was great.it needed to have reverb and was easy to carry.the 40 watts is good for small gigs and practice. The Nextone Stage ticked all the boxes.I was looking at the new… read more line one Catylist but it's a modeling amp .the Nextone has some tweekable E Q settings that's OK. The amp sounds great, nice bass and mids and glassy highs.I always liked tube amps, but now that I'm older, I'm tired of lugging a heavy amp around. This amp really comes close to a real tube amp.if I take my tube amp to a gig I'll bring this as a back up,because you never know when your tube amp will quit,I know it from experience.
Out of the Box insane sound
Opened box, plugged in amp, downloaded software... The 30+ tones and amp sound fantastic. Huge range of sounds and the amp is very high quality. I had a Katana MKii which introduced me to the BOSS Katana family, and this was a tremendous addition.
Nextone, fantastic tone!
Normally I would wait a month or so to review anything, but I have no doubt the Boss Nextone is one of the best amps I have ever played, I was going to buy a fender blues jr. or a fender hot rod deluxe, they have great clean tones, pretty good crunch, but after thinking about maintenance with tube amps, and all that goes along with them, I decided to research a little. I have… read more a Bugera v22, and it's a good amp, I have had great luck with it. I also own a boss katana 100 mk2. And a boss katana 50, and both are very good amps , but here is my dislike of the katana, getting a sound just the way I like I get so po at trying to adjust all the controls, for my strat, this setting for my Gibson another setting for my telecaster another setting, frankly it is a pain in the butt, so after debating back and forth I researched the Nextone, after watching the guitarist tone lounge on YouTube and many more video on YouTube, I decided to go with the boss Nextone and holly molly this thing is truly fantastic, I can plug any of my guitars in and maybe tweak a little and dust play, the two USA Tube setting are so fender sounding and the two British setting are realistic, When I play the string feel is just there like a valve amp, now here's my suggestion if you want simple, beautiful sound. Don't think twice, don't let the tube snobs change your mind, THIS THING IS GREAT, I LOVE IT !
