I have 3 of these now. Two for guitar boards and one for bass. They all work just as they should. Don't get hung up on the hole "plastic is bad" thing as I have 40+ of the Behringer pedals some of which are first gen 20+ year old ones and none have had the plastic break. A lot of manufactures in the last 40 years have made plastic enclosure pedals that have held up well. With… read more Sweetwater selling many of these for under $ shipped it's the best bang for your buck anywhere. Take a look at prices on reverb and eBay for the used ones!!! Crazy what these "cheap plastic" pedals go for especially first gen ones. You can have all the pedals to get you started for the price of one "good" pedal. Thank you Sweetwater!!!!!
The missing piece to any noisy rig, if you're careful
One could easily replace just about any standard noise reduction pedal with this and get similar results. The boss NS-2 and MXR smart gate come to mind, I really don't perceive much difference when I use the Behringer pedal. Though one might notice little differences in Behringer pedals that are clearly trying to copy what others have already done, this one is almost a carbon copy… read more with the exception of the plastic housing.

I have bought 4 of the Dehringer pedals and are very satisfyed with everyone that I bought from Sweetwater.
Great. Use 2!
I play mostly metal and taming that gain can be difficult. I had one of these. I figure why not two? After playing with it for a while I settled in the settings pictured. Works great for me at the end if my signal chain.
