Nice and light, sound is tight!

I needed a lighter bass than my Sadowsky 5 strings for those 4 set gigs so I grabbed one of these. It's a beauty to look at, and plays very nice. It has a nice growl with the EMG and the piezo adds some thump as well. Overall the fit and finish is very good but the sound lacks a little low end for my tastes. I can make up for that with my amp, though. At some point I might have read more to splurge on the two pickup CR5 but for now this will do just fine.

First of all let me praise Sweetwaters customer service. I orderedthe bass after a conversation with my "go to guy" @ Sweetwater Ed Nystrom. The next afternoon im playing my new bass. This bass has exceptional play and is lighter than most guitars. Great sounds as well. The only thing is; you are dealing with a very powerful piezo pickup. You have the capability of incredible treble read more and bass response and you can go overboard if you aren't careful. Very dynamic eq system. A very nice gigbag is included. The only problem i have had was with the manufacturer. I had a couple questions and they were less than helpful. Quite rude actually but thats a problem with steinberger not Sweetwater.

The fullness, and added ambience of the piezo pickup blew me away. The intonation I'd dead perfect right out of the box. Body design melts to your body and becomes one with you as you play.Fit and finish are perfect.
