Realistically, these aren't a fair amount cheaper than the 3 packs (which are actually cheaper during frequent sales), but these are so much easier to manage. No dealing with tons of packaging and waste. My first box lasted me about 2 years and I had no issues with string 'freshness' during that time. The only negative (and it's so minor) is that D'Addario player circle rewards… read more are HEAVILY reduced on these sets. I believe you only get like 2,000 points which is about the same as about 8 packs. Not a huge deal, but if you factor that in, these costs MORE per set than the frequently discounted 3 packs.
