They're all I'll use.

I wanted something that would play more like acoustic strings on my hollow body. These are perfect for that. The XT's are better on my strats, but these are the only thing I will ever put on my hollow body. They don't sacrifice the metallic sound of the string and they hold up for an incredibly long time. Anyone who say's otherwise got a bad batch, or they installed the strings read more incorrectly.

Very happy

I've been using these for about two years on all my guitars. All are tuned to D Standard. I play hard and do mostly strumming and chugging rhythm work. Very little lead stuff. I am very pleased with these and continue to purchase them when I need strings. I'm coming from the Ernie Ball Not Even Slinky's.

D'Addario Crapped The Bed With The NYXL's

What's His Face

I bought the 12-54 set to try on my Rickenbacker 325, due to the claims made by D'Addario about the NYXL's. I had been using the 12-54 Rickenbacker strings but found the wound 20 harder to bend, than I like. The Rickenbacker set is bright with lots of sustain, compared to the D'Addario NYXL's Unfortunately, the D'Addario set came with a plain 20, which threw the intonation off, read more way sharp, and sounded like I was playing a banjo. NYXL strings are lifeless and plunky sounding, with no sustain. Yes, the Plain 20 bends a little easier, but I decided to purchase their NYXL Wound 20, which brought the intonation back in line. (The individuals are very pricey as well). Now I'm back to where I started, because, the wound 20 isn't any easier to bend than the Rickenbacker wound 20. The Rickenbacker strings have enormous longevity, brightness, sustain and bend every bit the same as the NYXL's I spent 3 days stretching out the NYXL's, which would not stay in tune for 1 minute, so scratch those 2 claims. I wanted to rip them right off but, decided to wait for the wound 20 to arrive. It is better now, but they are just plain inferior strings,in every way, to the Rickenbacker and Ernie Ball strings, on my 325. They are Dead, Plunky, Lifeless sounding strings, that cost 2 the amount, unjustified. To say I hate them would be an understatement! I can't wait to change them back to the Rickenbacker's, but I paid so much, I will tough it out a while. I just hope their claim of longevity is also a lie so I can get rid of them sooner. D'Addario Crapped the bed on this new Technology.

My go-to for years now

Are used to use primarily elixir strings and I use those and the NYXL. They last a long time and sound really good. I've been avidly playing guitar for about 18 years.

Love this gauge for Drop D

This gauge is perfect for keeping fat tones when you drop the bottom E to a D. Raise your action just a touch and you can have some seriously huge tones with this gauge. Love em. The .52 keeps the low string tension high even when you down tune a bit. Could probably get away with drop C or D standard. Plus these aren't as coarse as the EB Cobalts. They are good too, but not like read more these.
