Really Opened Up My Guitar
Bought it as a pair (PAF36 for Bridge, PAF Master for Neck) for my PRS S2 S24. I had always struggled with that guitar sounding muddy. Build quality otherwise good on it. Once I swapped out the stock pickups for these DiMarzios, it opened right up and had all the top end that I wanted. Very happy with these.
Good pickup
A friend recommended this and got it on sale... This thing rips!!! Sounds great clean yet screams on distortion. All my friends are impressed and love shredding on this thing. My guitar only has 1 pickup and this one is definitely worth it.
Awesome. Right in the middle.
Just installed this in my Schecter in the neck position. The sound is not muddy or too sharp like some jazz pups. The mid range has good volume. I can kick some mild compression on with my amp at low volume and it'll hold… read more the note for a long time, moving into feedback just the way it's supposed to.
Lovely vintage tone
It gives a very spanky kind of tone that has a bite to it, and has a great vintage vibe. I use it in the neck of an old first generation Ibanez Gio, and have it paired with a Dimarzio PAF Master Bridge, and they make a wonderful vintage classic rock tone. It's brought a whole new heart to my old Ibanez, and is a great pickup that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice vintage… read more and classic rock vibe!
