Put in bridge of 08 lp standard faded.
my guitar came with burstbucker pro a5 magnets. never liked the bite they had. So, i swapped in a2 mags. Idk what happened, but the bridge ended up sounding single coilish. So i needed a bridge pup lol!! Overall pretty good fit and wonderful match with gibby neck pup. Although it is a5 magnet, its a pretty low output pup. My guitar is chambered and kinda bright anyway. This pup… read more is a little bright and airey also. I swapped the ceramic disc cap for paper in oil and that did the trick. This is a really good pup at a decent price. Pay attention to wich one you are buying as this one can be used in bridge or neck. they have one desginated for bridge that is slightly hotter.
Good
installed in the neck of my V, nice and open sound, does what i want it to, responsive to volume and tone roll off additionally.
Great Traditional Tone
These came stock in my 2015 full thickness LTD with the mahogany body/neck and maple cap. Not a Gibson Paul but the same body specks and tone woods. These 36th pups sound amazing. Clear articulation across the board, great bite at the bridge and wonderful creamy and sustained tones in the neck position (think Slash). They sound better to my ears than most aftermarket humbuckers… read more for any actual Les Paul whether a Gibson, Epihone, or other lP type guitar that is actually well built in he mid to higher end range. If you want traditional PAF type pups that clean up super well and take you into tone bliss especially when the tone is rolled off for some warmth, they are the best sounding ones I have ever played and I have been playing for 40 years
Geat pickups
I just got these installed in my Custom Les Paul and they sound fantastic! Just today after playing another musician told me how good my guitar sounded.
Alnico 2 neck
I picked one up not too long ago. I'm using it for the neck pickup in an epiphone sg. The alnico 5 was a little to pushy for my neck taste so I swapped in an alnico 2. The should make an alnico 2 version of this.
