Great Vintage Tone
Great sounding vintage output neck pickup that gives warm, juicy tones without being too fat or muddy. Good articulation lets you hear all notes of chords even with crunchy gain. Not a high gain pickup, great for blues and classic rock tones.
Update...
Just a quick update on my experience with this pickup. I flipped it around like the first reviewer did (screws towards the bridge) and I think I like it better! Still the same sweet, woody neck humbucker, but with the low end dialed back a bit and the upper mids accentuated just enough to make it seem louder. DiMarzio PAF Humbucker (DP260N)
I was looking for a Humbucker to go in the neck position of my Tele. I read many reviews about possible candidates and also got some guidance from the helpful techs at DiMarzio, finally choosing their DP260N. This pickup suits my needs perfectly (I play classic rock/blues). It is a very quiet pickup in operation, and is quite sensitive to volume settings, cleaning up nicely at lower… read more volume. When wound up, this pickup has a beautiful singing sustain and gorgeous, sweet tone. I can highly recommend it for this application!
