moved the ssl-5 from bridge position to the middle position and installed the pearly gates into the bridge position. have an ssl-1 in the neck. this installation took a total of 30 minutes. soldered the pearly gates in the humbucker mode until i can pick up a mini-micro toggle switch and resolder to acheive the best of both sounds - single coil or humbucker mode. i don't like push-pull… read more pots. see nate baker at sweetwater in fort wayne. in my opinion the pearly is over priced but, couldn't help myself. try one.. got a les paul in my strat. don't have to carry two guitars anymore. i can do hendrix or joe bonamassa on one axe. t.c. google seymour duncan for appropriate wiring diagram and avoid problems with custom installations.
