Honk-a-Billy Specials!!!!
Bought these to throw in a cheap Epi LP Special . They sound absolutely killer!!
Brought my Semi Hollow to life
These pick ups turned a $150 firefly semi hollow 338 guitar into my main axe on stage. This is now my guitar of choice over my big dollar Les Paul and Strat. The pick ups have just the right amount of grit for classic rock but do not feedback unless I want the feedback. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
Pearly Gates
I was so torn on which Seymour Duncan's to get, these had the majority of positive reviews, so I went with them... good choice. I put these in my 2021 Epiphone Les Paul, and I swear, it sounds just as good if not BETTER than my Gibson les Paul Studio! Nick totally hooked me up as usual, great service, got here sooner than expected, thanks guys!
Great Pups For My Les Paul Standard
I recently purchased a 2020 60s LP Standard. The guitar came stock with Burst Buckers 61r-61t. I believe Gibson used them in the 2021s as well. They were articulate and overall not bad, but missing an identity almost too modern for me. lacking the classic vintage tone with a touch of Texas sizzle I dig. The goal is to try to get as close as possible to the famous 59. After installing… read more the PGs I felt much closer to the classic sound I was hearing in my head. The neck pup sounds super sweet with proper height adjustment. Bridge has a nice midrange but not too powerful making drive pedals easier to work with in terms of needing a boost or more gain. Without getting too in to detail, it gave me what the previous pickups did not. There are several pickups available out there, but most of the time it really depends on what guitar their going in. It's not always a dream come true, and you certainly don't want to head down an expensive road to find the ultimate pickup because honesty there is no ultimate pickup out there. It's all about the marriage between the guitar and pickups. I would highly recommend these in a Les Paul standard this much I can positively say to those interested in the Seymour Dunkan PGs shouldn't hesitate. I'd like to thank Sweetwater for the great customer service and prompt delivery.
Great tone and sustain
My daughter bought this set for me for Christmas. I put these in an Epiphone ES-339. I also replaced the pots and wiring with Gibson. Both the tone and sustain are incredible. Sounds as good as my Gibsons. Very happy.
