Amazing

One of the best sounding delays Ive owned. The pedal is small an pedalboard friend which I love. And there is so much packed into this little box. Ive used a ton of delays. The one Had before this was a Strymon Timeline, which is a great delay. But most replays that have all the features I look for are big pedals. Thee Polymoon does it all in a small package. As a Straight up pedal, read more its very easy to use and very straightforward. Very easy to get some awesome delay sounds right off the pedal controls out of the box. The downside, if you want to call it that, is that packing the any features into a small box calls for semi-advanced ways of accessing the many hidden / alt features that are available as well as global set-ups and preset access / saving. To get the most out of this pedal, you'll want a midi controller. It really opens up the pedals potential and makes navigating it much easier. As do the the editors that are available. Meris likes the MidiMittr along with Touch OSC app to be bale to edit presets and access all the basic and alt features from a computer or tablet / phone. I personally like the Eliiot Garbus editors and find them easier to use. And SysEx Librarian is a must have for having your presets offline and creating backups. The Garbus editors allow this too and create a library of all your sounds regardless of if they are loaded on the pedal or not. But Have found that creating syses files of your presets to save is much easier with syses librarian. Ive had difficulty going preset exports with the Garbus editors. With 16 presets available, it's not hard to have a lot more presets built than what are actually on the pedal.. The editors make this really easy for swapping presets and arranging your pedal preset arrangement. And learning the alt controls and global set-ups right off the pedal is not hard either. Takes some memorization, but comes naturally after playing with the pedal for a while. The point i that this pedal has so many amazing features that make it an incredible delay. The small package 9which is a plus IMO) leaves it to midi to really be able to get the pedal set up and rolling right on your rig. Ive learned so much about midi working with these pedals, it's been great. An Meris hands down has some of the best support you could ever ask for. They're friendly, thorough and always reply. Ive gotten some amazing tips from the guys at meris that have made using this pedal a real joy. Ive been able to set up some amazing sounds via m midi controller and the editors. And I really can't ay enough about how good their support is. So out of the box the pedal sounds amazing and is easy to work with upon basic set-up and use. There's definitely a learning curve, if you're not used to using midi implementation or online editors. But tis not too hard once you get into it. Most importantly the sound quality is amazing on all meris pedals including the Polymoon. So get a good midi controller and on of the editors and dive in. Its an awesome learning experience and you'll find there's nothing you can't do when suing this thing with an awesome midi set up.

Fantastic Pedal for Synths

This is a deceptively deep pedal. Well made, very high quality sound, and very unique. Learn it and you will love it.

So much fun. Inspirational. Easy to use.

I don't like complicated pedals. If it sounds really good, I'll take the time to learn them. But it's not my preference. My only concern before the Polymoon arrived at my house was that the alternate functions would be too hard to memorize to make it easy to use. That ended up being an unfounded fear. The small size of the pedal means I can access the alt functions with one hand read more while holding my guitar or playing my synths. Plus, they're super-easy to memorize and become second nature after a couple trial runs. It is a quick process to get a wide variety of sounds. Here's a quick rundown: What I Love: The sound quality and stereo field on this pedal are exquisite. It's cool in mono but it is heavenly in stereo. The modulation options are different from typical delays. Instead of a chorus/vibrato mod section, it has an incredible Small Stone influenced phaser for the delay repeats that adds awesome movement to otherwise simple delay patterns. I LOVE it on the slowest setting. Obviously the pitch-shifting takes the pedal into orbit. The Dimension knob creates sparse reverb-like washes that can keep some of the more extreme mod options in check in tandem with the mix knob. The time knob gets really really fast and pretty long, which dramatically transforms how the pedal feels. It can be ambient and washy with long delays, octave modulation, and lots of Dimension. But it also can create really cool and creative "room" Sounds that are in a totally different realm. The wide variety of sounds helps the pedal stack really well with more classic delay pedals, too. One of my favorite tricks is to set my Chase Bliss Tonal Recall to a pretty standard memory man-like setting and then have the Polymoon supply shifting octaves and phaser in the background with just a tiny turn of the mix knob. The Tonal Recall is warm and familiar. The Polymoon is big and expansive and swirls around it to create a world for the Tonal Recall to live in. It does a pretty dang good "normal" Digital delay. Set the Multiply knob to 1 for mono and 2 for ping pong. Use the alt mod to add a touch of warble if you want. Use the Filter to brighten or darken to fit the track, and boom, you've got a great normal delay. The stereo flanger is amazing. One of my favorite tricks is to use the lowest possible setting on the flanger without any delay at all (the flanger works with the mix knob all the way off) to add the perception of stereo width to a clean guitar. It's subtle and doesn't sound at all like someone turned on a flanger. Save a preset of this with the preset switch and you just saved room on your board. What I don't like: I would accept less control over the flanger if one of the alternate functions allowed me to either filter the long taps differently than the short taps, or to control the volume separately. My only gripe is that I sometimes like to have the early taps sound "normal-ish" and then set the later taps to modulate more dramatically. I wish I could make the later taps sit back a bit more so they don't jump out without also turning down the early taps. It would help make some of the more dramatic modulation options more versatile. No onboard presets. I'm glad the pedal is more compact than many other multi-function pedals. But I'd love a small push switch to cycle through two or three presets without the need for a separate foot switch. I can set the pedal quickly so it's not THAT annoying, but it would be nice if two or three of my most common settings were available without needing anything else. I am definitely gonna add the preset foot switch at some point, but I need to find room on my board, first. Last notes: As you turn up the multiply, time, and dimension knobs, try turning down the feedback. There's a lot of musical sounds without needing much at all from the feedback. Learn the 4 different sections of the alternate modulation options. They are each like four knobs in 1 so turn it more slowly when you find something you like. It sounds complicated, but if you move it slowly, you'll quickly get used to how each section of the knobs' range can unlock pitch warble, extra warble, ring mod, and pitch-shifting options. Have fun with the room and slap back setting. The pedal screams ambient sounds, but the otherworldly room sounds it can make are fantastic, especially with subtle textures from the ambient flanger. Buy this pedal if you want something out of the box!

Amazing, jaw dropping sound and algorithm

This is the most inspiring delay I have played in a long time... and I'm a delay freak. I've been stacking them for a long time... my biard has seen the likes of an supa puss, echorec, tc triple delay, strymon timeline, nemesis ... as of now I also have the empress echosystem on my board... and you would think you would not meed any other delay with that unit on board... but the read more Polymoon is such a unique beast! It's very deep and takes a while to learn how to use it... I'm still unlocking sounds as the possibilities are endless... from traditional sounding repeats, to warbly dream like sequences... obviously the sound quality is one of it's best features ... the detail and and stereo profile are delightful... at this price range this is the best delay pedal if you are into trippy stuff... it can still do more traditional delay sounds but would be unecessary to get this brilliant unit
