Patient Install Pays Dividends

Installed on Takamine G series beginner series. Despite all of the glowing reviews , I was skeptical. I was worried the compensated shape would throw off my intonation. If it did, I can't tell and my tuner can't tell. This install was for my campfire guitar with standard plastic saddle. I like the guitar, but it seemed the resonance was lacking, especially in the mid ranges. The read more stock bridge seemed loose as well. So, I sanded and sanded until I had the right height and just enough clearance to lightly push the saddle back together. This took a few tries. I also smoothed out the cavity the saddle fits in. The resonance picked up immensely . I did not change strings , which are a month old now, but it sounded better than a string change and the resonance is even better than that. Skill level for this install is negligible, but patience is a virtue. Highly recommended

Sounds great

Had string buzzing one my Alvarez so I changed to this one. It raised my action a bit and the sound is nice and holds sustain great.

Replaced bone saddle Orangewood

My Orangewood Brooklyn Live Limited edition came with a bone nut and saddle but I wanted to mix it up so changed the saddle to this and I'm loving the result. I had to sand it down quite a bit, in both height and thickness to make it fit like the stock one. Leaving the bone nut as I like the combo very much. Turned a nice guitar into an awesome guitar.

Wow; The Sound Difference!

I replaced the plastic saddle in my 1997 Alvarez 5062. The guitar sounded great before and now it sounds even better. The sustain alone is such an improvement, I was blown away. The resonant sound is more "chimey"; the notes "ring" better and blend well. Yes, there was a lot of sanding and measuring but it was well worth the work. I can't believe how much this inexpensive part read more changed my already great guitar for the better! Next up is changing the nut to Tusq and seeing if the sound can be improved even more.

It works.

I was just about to scrap my Eastman AC 120. I gambled... and won. I can live with it now.
