Nut replacement epiphone guitars

I have replaced the nuts on several guitars with Graph Tech nuts. This is an excellent product. This Tusq nut is fairly easy to install. However setting up the guitar and filing the nut slots to proper depth is another thing. To get the best results, you will need to do some research and buy some tools. You will need a set of nut files, a mill file, feeler gages, a tuner, and sand… read more paper in various grits. There are excellent videos out there on this topic. Otherwise get a guitar tech to install it. A properly set up guitar will play in tune, a lot better, up and down the fretboard. I also recommend changing the bridge saddles to Graph Tech. I play rock and country, do a lot of bending and I cannot remember the last time I broke a string. The guitar stays in tune and the tone is excellent. Great product!

Epiphone PR-150 replacement

Look no further if you have a PR-150. I watched the tutorial on Sweetwater and I had to sand the bottom approx 80 strokes to get to the string height that I prefer, and the front approx 10 strokes to fit the width. Nut is slightly wider than the fretboard which is nice because my hand sometimes muted the Hi-e string with the stock nut. I have to give Sweetwater a 10/10 for customer service. I received order confirmation, shipping confirmation, phone call from engineer the following morning, and a thank you email after delivery. Nut came packaged with a bag of candy that my kids enjoyed while I was sanding. Based on this treatment for a $12 nut I will definitely purchase other accessories and eventually guitars from Sweetwater.

This nut was extremely easy to install, the height was perfect ( I've read other reviews that stated that their nut had to be sanded down, but I sanded the contact point on the neck for a clean adhesion, and may have met the difference) I had to sand the width down a bit, but I'll note that my original nut was the same width as this one was brand new, and was already oversized.… read more This improved my tone and harmonics greatly, and was an easy and cheap upgrade. Quick, Easy Fit.

Fit perfectly. Only the sides needed sanding. Slots aligned perfectly with the ones on that cheap plastic nut it replaced. Cool. Why mess with other options?

Great upgrade

I bought 2 of these 1 for a dot and the other for a tribute+. worked great on installation and playing,I only sanded the sides,fits perfect!
