For years my issue has been tube amps with too much volume for recording purposes or small club gigs. I love the original Fender Princeton Reverbs, and this may be inspired by those, but it is clearly beefed up for the modern age. It's a PR on steroids. It's a simple configuration, has a jack for a switch pedal on the reverb, and the reverb is very good. Some players claim they read more like to replace the stock speaker but I'm ok with it. The controls are kind of idiosyncratic. I like to dime the treble and bass. This amp can get loud, but it is useful at reasonable volumes. Definitely an American flavor. I have been through so many boutique amps from Swart, Tone King, Top Hat, Carr, and they were all good, but there is something satisfying about this amp that makes me hang onto it. Hard to put into words. Something about the tone envelope and it's responsiveness--your mileage may vary.

I'm 59 years old. Played all amps in the world. This is a little unknown beast. Don't rely on the demo guy, you will think this amp is for a church... or very boring clean semi-jazz... No, try it. Pedals +++. Drummer, no problems.

Incredible

Out of the box this amp is ready to go. First notes would be the cabinet, solid, excellent attention to detail, strong dove tail joints. Built for safe and easy access to internals for tube changes by technicians. Plugged in and played. Every setting I swept the knobs to sounded excellent, good audio from low bedroom volumes to loud, no problem. Notes bloom, incredible reverb, read more good tight smooth low end creamy high end. Excellent balance form E to E. Handled every pedal I gave it with no problems. Excellent headroom and easy to get the right amount of dirt out of it with over drive. With it cranked the natural tube overdrive comes out. Overall the finest amplifier I have played through in my experience. Ready for the stage or studio mic'ed or unmic'ed.
