Before having this nut installed, my Les Paul Junior couldn't hold tune at all. One little bend on any string and it would go flat, every time. Now, after putting this nut on it I could solo all day and not have to worry about a thing. No more "ping"ing sounds when tuning either. I got this but for my les Paul junior because the nut cracked and split under the a string. So I got in the phone and called my sales engineer Ryan and asked him about these products from graphtech. He told me they make drop in parts for Gibson and fender and other guitars. He said they were very popular and were built to last and I would notice a substantial difference. I ordered… read more it after taking measurements and I installed it without a hitch. She dropped right in and I didn"t have to file or sand anything. My junior sounds better than ever. You wouldn"t think the nut would make a huge difference but it does. The harmonics are richer and there are no tuning issues any more. Those of us that have owned and played Gibson"s know the g string is a pesky little devil sometimes but not anymore! I have not had any tuning issues at all and the vibration transfer makes the whole neck resonate! Get one! You won"t be sorry!
