Great strings at a great price.
I just put these on my Ibanez from Sweetwater, as I hadn't change the strings yet (way overdue). I put them on, tuned up..stretched a little, tuned again…..good. Came back the next day, and was just a tiny bit off…tuned up again within seconds and still good to go. Sound nice, play nice, priced nice…..noice.
Great sound and easy feel
These strings are soft and easy to play. They have a nice resonance and smooth top end.
Excellent all-around strings
These are my go-to strings after trying just about everything else. They're easy on the fingers, easy to bend, stay in tune, and are long lasting. But mainly they sound great! As another reviewer said they slightly emphasize mids in a very pleasing way, especially for bright single coil guitars (my Strats). But I also use and like them on LP and ES-335 style guitars with PAF-type… read more pickups. A friend gave me a set to try about 5 years ago and I was quickly hooked. The only negative I can report is that the high e string is a bit delicate. I've never broken one playing, but early on I did break a couple by rough handling while stretching out a new set. There's a reason each set includes a spare e string! But it's worth it for the sound and feel.
Excellent Strings
These have been my favorite strings since a friend of mine turned me onto them nearly 14 years ago. Each set of these has consistently lasted me many hard hours of playing, including a substantial amount of bending. I have a Strat-style guitar with DiMarzio Area pickups, and it comes alive with these strings. I feel that Roto Yellows have a slightly more prominent (and more pleasant)… read more midrange and upper midrange than any of the numerous other strings I've played over the years. With the guitar mentioned above, through a seemingly endless variety of overdrives, a 15-watt Princeton-type amp and a high-wattage 1x12" or 2x10" speaker cabinet, I don't think these strings can be outclassed.
