Great Pickups!
If you need a vintage output single coil with a slight high end roll off, these are the ticket. I installed these in an American Performer Strat (with a maple fretboard) and the tone is what I was hoping for-a fat vintage tone suitable for blues and blues rock. I'm certain you could install these in any Strat and the results would be great. Get some!
Raw Vintage indeed
THESE PICKUPS ARE SWEEEET!!! Replaced the pickups on my Fender Player Strat. That Strat is going to be with me for a looooong time now!!! GOD BLESS!!!
High quality
I"m a custom guitar builder. I discovered Raw Vintage WAAAAY back when I was looking for the best tremolo springs. RV tremolo springs are a must especially if you own an import. And I always understand use all 5. Absolutely needed for a perfect spring tremolo. Setup is vital. At first thought the price was a little high but. Then heard them . I always used a Fralin"s or lace but… read more now I"m a big RV fan in my builds. You can"t go wrong. Don"t forget those springs as well as a good brass tremolo block.
Xotic Raw Vintage 60’s
These pickups take after the 1963 Style pickups. In my opinion, they are right on the money. Clean: absolutely beautiful sound, clear, great balance and not thin sounding. My favorite is the neck and middle. However, every position gets used a lot. Overdrive: meaty but not muddy at all. The the neck overdriven is so clear sounding. Most overdriven neck pickups I"ve experienced… read more have been so muddy. You will absolutely love every position. I"m super impressed with these pickups and for the price, you can not beat it. I"m a Texas Special guy and wanted a different sound. These do not disappoint. Great for blues, rock, jazz. I play blues and rock and these make me want to keep playing for hours.
RV 60’s
The recipe is great, how"s the sound? Amazing. With a Mullard tropical fish cap, it"s got a killer 60"s tone. Sounds amazing with my fuzzboxes. Sounds amazing through a Princeton Reverb. Would probably sound amazing through two Dixie Cups and a length of string. Totally at one with the universe using these pickups. My 90"s Vintage Strat sounds like it came out of 1963. I love it...
