Top notch
I own three American basses two p basses and a musicman one of which is my main bass a fender American deluxe from 2004. With that being said. I won't play that out live anymore I record with that bass and love it too much to play with it with fear of it being stolen. The Reverend is very similar to that bass in many ways. The two pickups work just like it I went passive in that… read more bass a few years ago and this bass is passive also. Few things that are different these pickups are hot very hot they work very well had to turn the bass down on the eq because it's very bass heavy and I like that. Feel wise it's nice but that's where extra money is spent you can't beat an American bass. This bass is awesome tho it's very well balanced the tuners are great the build quality is just as good as a bass from America. The neck is more of a p/j setup slimmer than a p bass but thicker than a jazz. The thing I like is the pickup placement the reversed pole piece is awesome. Works better than the normal. It cuts through a mix like nothing. The mm humbucker isn't like a mm bass but more like a soapbar it has the mm a bit but not that close. I ride this on the neck most times and for smooth bass parts I use this on the middle setting. I can pull off a mm sound for songs just not perfect. The important thing to note with this bass is. Is American better or after imports getting there. With Reverend yes they are getting there. If they use a different fret wire and roll the edges it be there this is an awesome bass and will fit for my live sound and studio I really like this bass just as much as my p deluxe.
